This apple crumble recipe is easy to make with Granny Smith apples and a buttery crumb topping with cinnamon and nutmeg for a cozy fall dessert.

Ingredients

  1. 4 cups sliced peeled granny smith apples
  2. 1 tablespoon water
  3. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  4. 1 cup white sugar

  9. ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

  2. Pile sliced apples in an 8x10-inch casserole dish. Mix water and lemon juice together and sprinkle over apples.
