Mushroom Pasta Sauce
Umami-rich mushrooms cooked down with garlic, thyme, and cream to create a rustic pasta sauce. Hearty and satisfying, perfect tossed with fettuccine or penne for a comforting vegetarian meal.
Ingredients
- 2 (14.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed tomato soup, undiluted
- 1 (14 ounce) jar pizza sauce
- 1 (8 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
Directions
- In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes; cool. Transfer to freezer bags or containers. Freeze for up to 3 months.
