Quick Fettuccine Cacciatore
A fast version of chicken cacciatore served over fettuccine, with tomato sauce, mushrooms, and peppers. Rustic, bold, and perfect for weeknight Italian-style dinners.
Ingredients
- 300 grams fettuccine, uncooked 2 teaspoons oil
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite- sized pieces
- 1 cup green pepper strips
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 1 (19 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, undrained
- 1/4 cup kraft zesty italian dressing
- 1/2 cup kraft 4 cheese italiano shredded cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
Directions
- Cook pasta as directed on package.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook and stir until no longer pink. Add peppers and mushrooms; cook 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in tomatoes and dressing; simmer on medium-low heat 5 minutes or until chicken is done.
- Drain pasta. Toss with chicken mixture. Sprinkle with cheese and basil.
